Our fleet — 4×4 self-drive & car hire in Rwanda

Based in Kigali, our fleet spans economy saloons, mid-range SUVs, full 4×4 Land Cruisers, and minivans — giving every traveller the right vehicle for Rwanda and East Africa. Whether you’re tracking gorillas in Volcanoes National Park, crossing into Uganda, or simply exploring Kigali’s city streets, we match your budget with a reliable, well-maintained car.

Why choose us?

Rwanda’s road network has transformed dramatically over the past decade. Major highways linking Kigali to regional centres are fully paved, yet access routes into national parks — especially Volcanoes, Nyungwe Forest, and remote zones of Akagera — remain steep, narrow, and muddy during rainy seasons (March–May and October–November). Choosing the right vehicle is therefore a practical necessity, not just a comfort preference.

Our self-drive and chauffeured packages come with full insurance, GPS, unlimited mileage on most bookings, and optional extras such as rooftop tents, camping gear, child seats, and cross-border documentation. Long-term rentals earn significant discounts, and last-minute bookings are always welcome for vehicles like the RAV4 and Prado Land Cruiser.

Fleet for cross-border destinations

Our cross-border fleet is selected based on road conditions in the destination country. Ugandan roads—particularly routes to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Murchison Falls, and Queen Elizabeth National Park — demand a full SUV like the Land Cruiser TXL due to steep, unpaved tracks. Tanzania is ideal for camping safaris on self-drive tours, as savings on accommodation significantly reduce overall trip costs. Kenya routes through Nairobi and Masai Mara are accessible on Prado or RAV4 depending on your itinerary.
